Welcoming immigrants to Portland, Maine

Attorney Terry Garmey's arms might be sore, but that's not going to stop him from moving more furniture that people have donated for the local immigrant community. Terry and his wife Mandy are active volunteers for the Welcoming Immigrants Network (WIN) of Greater Portland. The interfaith group aims to empower new residents with information, tools and resources to "strengthen our greater community into a vibrant, self-sustaining whole." A big part of the effort is a furniture center that accepts donations and supplies furniture to individuals and families.

Gary Goldberg: Mentoring the next generation

Attorney Gary Goldberg has developed a reputation as a mentor for trial lawyers in Maine. He is certified to conduct Continuing Legal Education seminars for firms and solo practitioners, focusing on trial skills training. Gary enjoys the personal connections he gains from these sessions.
